The Museum was founded in 2007 Puget collaboration between the Ministry of Culture and the city of Ibiza. It sets out a permanent legacy of painters Ibiza Narcis Puget Viñas (1874-1960) and his son, Narcis Puget Riquer (1916-1983). A total of 130 works among which are the watercolors and drawings by Narcis Puget Riquer and oil paintings and drawings of his father. This exhibition is located in Can Eat, a building dating from the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. These buildings, which can only be found in the upper city, maintain a Gothic structure with a courtyard and interior balcony of great beauty. Besides being suitable for the maintenance of the works, has been renovated to become one of the most beautiful buildings we have had the opportunity to enjoy. Of the three plant which has, we can only access the ground floor and top, leaving the basement for internal uses of the museum. On the ground floor, features two areas for temporary exhibitions of various authors. It is on the top floor, which is accessed by external stairs, we found several rooms painted in pastel colors which displays the works of both artists, sometimes jointly. Far from any critical interpretation, the tour of this museum will allow you to contemplate the evolution of the holidays and customs of the twentieth century Ibiza, recalling urbanized landscapes today. You can also see how some traditions have been kept, despite the passage of time.

Getting to the Museum Puget

In the most noble of Dalt Vila, the walled city, find the Museum Puget. Located across the street from San Ciriaco, is instead forced to step to access the plaza of the Cathedral of Ibiza. Access by car is limited, so it has an option to take the minibus tour de Vara de Rey, or arm of comfortable shoes and slip to tackle the cobbled slopes that we find along the way.

Consider visiting hours Puget Museum, which is a bit particular. Is closed on Mondays and during the rest of the year we have two different times. During the summer, from October to April, its doors remain open from ten o'clock until half past noon and afternoon from five to eight.
