3D virtual tourStart the tourCala Boix is in the municipality of Santa Eulalia (Santa Eulària), about 27 km from Ibiza and 12 km from Santa Eulària. You get there by road, by car or by bike: from Sant Carles, take the turn-off heading east and, about five kilometres later, you reach the cove. There is a small car park, which is usually enough for the people who visit.
To get down to the beach you have to use a flight of steps, so it is not a good spot for elderly people or anyone with reduced mobility. Take it easy on the way back: the climb is hard going.

Cala Boix is about a hundred metres long and ten metres wide. It is surrounded by hills covered in pine forest and Mediterranean scrub; the coast is not sheer, but it is so steep that it does not lend itself to hiking.
The sand at Cala Boix
The sand is very fine, the result of the erosion of the coastline. As you walk into the water the seabed slopes gently, and you can still touch the bottom about fifteen metres from the shore. That sand, the shallow depth and the distance from built-up areas make for very clear water.
There are sun loungers and parasols for hire. The beach bar is up at the top of the access steps, so think twice before climbing up for a cold drink.
The wind blows from the sea towards the land and, because of the shape of the terrain, it is almost always light. It is a quiet beach, ideal for families, with no noise from boats or jet skis.
