Puget Museum, life before tourism
In full ascension from the gate of Ses Taules, we find a museum dedicated to the Puget, father and son
We will find at the Puget Museum
The Puget Museum was born in 2007 of the collaboration Between the Ministry of culture And The town Hall of Eivissa. It is permanently exposed to the legacy of the Ibizan painters Narcís Puget viñas (1874-1960) and his Son, narcís puget Riquer (1916-1983). A total of 130 works, among which are the watercolors and drawings of Narcís Puget Riquer and the oils and drawings of his father. This Traveling exhibition is located in Can Coma, a building dating from the 15th and 16th centuries. These buildings, which can only be found in the upper city, maintain a gothic structure, with an interior patio and balcony of great beauty.

Besides being conditioned for the maintenance of the works, it has been refurbished becoming one of the most beautiful constructions that we have had the opportunity to enjoy. Of The three floors, we can only access the lower and upper floor, leaving the basement for internal uses of the museum. On the ground floor, are authorized areas for temporary exhibitions of different authors. It is on the top floor, which is accessed through exterior stairs, we find various rooms painted in pastel shades where are exhibited the works of both painters, occasionally in conjunction. Away from any critical interpretation, the tour of this Museum will allow you to see the evolution of the festivities and customs of the Ibiza of the twentieth century, remembering landscapes today day urbanized. You can also see how some traditions are still preserved despite the passage of time.
