I have not seen celebrities, although I must admit that unless they carry a sign with their name and merits, neither would be able to discover them. What if I can speak is from the Beach, which we can get from the Sant Jordi road, halfway between the airport and Ibiza . It is important to note that to reach the road of the Ses Salines Beach, we must abandon the Expressway at the height of Sant Jordi. At the roundabout leaving the population towards airport we take indication to the Beach, also indicated as the offset to Sa channel. We follow the road until you reach the turn-off to the Beach. We will find in Playa de Las Salinas

This beach has a very large parking lot thanks to the dune system before the beach. After crossing it, we will meet on a very long and flat beach , about two kilometres, where the sand is very fine. The seabed has ideal conditions for bathing, since it is still sandy and with a very soft inclination. We can walk dozens of meters without the water getting to cover. Also, due to the undulations of the terrain, we can find large shallow pools that the tide is responsible for keeping clean. In the playful area, the beach is well equipped, with all kinds of attractions, including a sailing boat rental area. At the far end, where the beach is transformed into a rocky inlet, we can see the islets of Es Freud and the profile of the island of Formentera.

Surprises in Las Salinas beach

But the beach of Las Salinas owes its name to the place that we can find continuing a few hundred meters by the road, an area barely visible and not very striking from the beachitself, but that is transformed as we go Approaching. If we go on foot, we will discover the only railway tracks that exist on the island, and that remain as a simple reminder of the passage of merchandise trains to the salt pier. Here we will discover a huge pier aiming at the sea, on a small cove with fishermen’s huts. The entrance to the pier has been surrounded by small traditional houses that still retain the island spirit. Without a doubt, a lost cove of the crowds and a place for a few chosen.
