Niu Blau Beach

Niu Blau beach. Along the coast of Santa Eulalia

Santa Eulalia is a very prolific municipality on beaches. Niu Blau Beach highlights including

Niu Blau

the playa des Niu Blau belongs to the municipality of Santa Eulària and we find it some seventeen kilometers from Ibiza and a about two kilometres from the Centre of the parish of Santa Eulària. Access is by road, by car, bike or bus if we visited it in the summer. Access to Niu Blau is not very complicated, but we must be vigilant. We take the road that indicates the Es Canar Beach, and about two kilometers we will see a sign indicating a detour to two hundred metres to the Beach. The road is a dirt road, perfectly confused with access to a private property, that will take us in few meters to the main entrance from the beach.

Restaurant

We will find in Nui Blau

When you arrive you will find an access by stairs and an adjoining ramp. This entrance crosses the only restaurant we will find in the place. Before going down we can repair some visible boats to the left, which seem to rest away from the sea. In fact it is a water inlet through a shallow terrain that serves as a refuge for small sailboats and motorboats. This soft access is caused by a very high seabed, which lets us see how small sections of rock emerge for about twenty meters from the left side coast, exercising the work of a natural dike. To the right, the beach stretches about a hundred meters long by about twelve meters wide.

Visiting Es Canar

It is very peculiar the landscape, with large pine trees, which in some sections are mixed with parasols and hammocks. The terrain goes from being formed by a landscape of rocks to a thick and caked-looking sand, product of the mixture of sand and algae. At the opposite end we can appreciate an access from an urbanization attached to the beach, and then a stretch of low profile rock, where you can see Santa Eularia background. The bottom has a very low level, with more than thirty meters of shallow water. The wind brings a more safety point to this beach, blowing loose and sea-to-ground general. We have pedalos to take a walk, so the noise on this beach is usually an exception.
